How it works
01
Take a screenshot, export an asset, or download a file like you normally do.
02
SnapShelf opens over your current app with the newest files already visible.
03
Preview it, copy it, rename it, or drag it directly into Slack, Mail, Figma, Xcode, and more.
Built for the messy middle
SnapShelf handles the small file tasks that interrupt your day, without becoming another place you have to manage.
Filter by images, videos, audio, PDFs, documents, code, design files, archives, and fonts.
Use a customizable global shortcut to bring the shelf over any app, then dismiss it just as quickly.
Select multiple files to save, rename with templates, or move unwanted items safely to Trash.
Use arrow keys to navigate, preview, copy, open, rename, and delete without breaking your flow.
See the whole workflow
This is the real app—opening the shelf, filtering files, previewing, selecting, and organizing them.
Keep references, exports, and assets ready to drag into the next app.
Move bug screenshots, logs, code, and attachments without folder hunting.
Turn screenshots and downloads into a calm, searchable visual workspace.

Before you buy
You choose the folder. Most people use Desktop, Downloads, or their macOS screenshot folder. You can change it later in Settings.
No. SnapShelf reads the folder you authorize and shows the files already on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded to SnapShelf or stored in a cloud account.
Only when you choose an action. Rename and batch tools run when you trigger them, and Delete moves files to the Mac Trash.
SnapShelf requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later and runs natively on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
No. The launch price is a one-time $4.99 purchase for SnapShelf 1.x. There is no account and no recurring charge.
After checkout, Gumroad provides the SnapShelf DMG. The app is notarized by Apple for direct installation outside the Mac App Store.
